Organization

IDPADA-G is an assembly of African organizations.  A registered or non-registered African organization with a record of activism in the African community in Guyana can become an organizational member of IDPADA-G. The organization consists of the General Assembly, a Coordinating Council, a Secretariat and Sub-committees

Structure

The General Assembly

The General Assembly (GA) is made up of one representative from each African organization registered with IDPADA-G.  This is the over-arching decision-making body in the organization. Its operational authority is discharged through the Coordinating Council.

The Coordinating Council

The Coordinating Council (CC) provides managing oversight of the organization and discharges its responsibility through the Secretariat whose Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a CC member. The CC is made up of a Chairman, the CEO, three elected council members, and three members co-opted by the CC.

The Secretariat

This is the administrative section of IDPADA-G responsible for its day-to-day operations. It coordinates activities and is accountable for the budget of the organization.

Sub-committees

There are 13 sub-committees that ground the organization and keep it focused on serving the interests of the African community in the areas of Education, Employment, Equality and Economics, and Special Projects.  Sub-committees are made up of members from the organizations which comprise the General Assembly.
